I've been using this type of writing for over eight years now. I had been on a spiritual search of sorts before this when I came upon a real life guru and shortly after meeting him, I had a vision I would not soon forget, if ever. I had never written anything before this but six months later I awoke in the night and just started writing so I showed it to him. I guess he was so impressed he later shared it with his students as an example of inquiry into the nature of one's being. From that night onwards I wrote almost every day. Once I started writing, I never stopped. It's still ongoing. In some strange way, it's become my way of life. It is a gift that's meant to be shared I'm sure, as many joys are bound to follow the one who tries it.
Wild thought writing is just like talking. It's not a type of writing that you think about. You never know beforehand what you are going to write about, instead you allow the writing to inform you of what it wants to say. There's a deeper voice within that most don't hear. It talks to you and tells you what you need to know. Believe it or not, you can understand yourself and your world if you put forth the effort which is never in vain, there's always a reward to be had. To understand yourself is the greatest gift you can ever give yourself and in my opinion you'll never truly help or guide anyone else unless your understanding is complete. This is where you start. I started writing to understand how I was made, what goes into the crafting of a person, and how can I access all I was meant to be or do. I believe each person has but one authentic path that leads to a life of pure joy and it's up to us to find and cultivate it. We are creators but we have to know what our minds are using to create with and writing is both an investigation and a method of returning to the way we were meant to be.
